Terry Thornton, owner, trainer, handler and most of all, best friend to the Golden Retrievers at Amigold! 

Amigold Retrievers was established in 1984 near Dallas, Texas with its primary focus on producing sound, athletic Golden Retrievers that love to hunt and can perform equally well in the field as well as conformation.  Temperament, health, longevity and retrieve desire remain the key elements in our breeding program, as well as producing Goldens that are bred according to the AKC Breed Standard.  Our Goldens have obtained multiple titles in field trials (derby, QAA and All-Age points), hunting tests (AKC & CKC MH & UKC titles) , agility (MACH points), obedience (all levels), tracking (AKC & CKC TDX) and conformation (AKC Champion, CKC Pointed & CCA).  Many thanks and congratulations to our puppy owners who took the time to train with their Goldens and titled in so many different venues.  Our Goldens also excel in the primary purpose of the breed which is hunting waterfowl, dove and upland birds in the plains of Texas and have even ventured as far north as the prairies in Canada.
